ON-PAGE SEO

On-Page SEO That Tells Google What You Actually Do

Most contractor websites have the services listed. They don't have the signals. We fix that.

One contractor per market. Territories fill.
THE PROBLEM

Google can't rank what it doesn't understand

When someone searches "mold removal company near me," Google picks a winner. That decision is based on what's actually on your pages: the words, the structure, the headings.

Your services page probably lists what you do. Google reads it. But if the structure isn't right, it can't tell which service you're best at, which cities you cover, or why your site belongs above the next contractor.

That's fixable. We only work with mold remediation and waterproofing contractors. We know how your market searches and what your pages are usually missing.

WHAT WE'RE OPTIMIZING

What on-page SEO actually includes

On-page SEO is the work done directly on your pages: the content, the structure, the words Google reads when it crawls. Link building and technical configuration matter too, but they're built on top of what's actually on the page. Get it wrong and nothing else sticks.

For a mold remediation or waterproofing company, that comes down to five things:

search

Title tags are the first text Google shows in search results. If yours says "Home" and your company name, you're wasting a ranking opportunity on every single page of your site.

article

Service page content tells Google what you do, where you do it, and who the customer is. That means real descriptions of the service, location references throughout the page, and copy that reads like someone who actually does this work wrote it, not a keyword list repeated five times.

link

URL structure tells Google what a page is about before it reads a single word. Most contractor sites have URLs that look like database outputs: /services/p23/ or /page?id=38, with no service name and no location. A URL like /mold-remediation-nashville-tn tells Google the service and the city immediately. Most contractors have never had this done.

hub

Internal links tell Google which pages on your site matter and how they relate to each other. Your mold remediation page should link to your mold inspection page. Your Nashville page should link to your broader Tennessee service area. Most contractor sites are built page by page with no thought given to how those pages connect.

layers

Content depth is the difference between a page that mentions a service and one that explains it. A single paragraph about mold remediation doesn't rank against a page that covers the process, the warning signs, and what a homeowner should expect. Google rewards pages that cover a topic properly.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Why contractor websites are easy to outrank

Most contractor sites were built by whoever was cheapest at the time, someone who does "websites and stuff." You end up with a few lines of copy, title tags that just say the company name, no location references in the headings, and URLs that look like database outputs. That's a gap worth taking.

We build pages with the right structure: the right service, the right city, enough content that Google knows what the page is about. At that point you're competing against sites where none of this has ever been done, and rankings move because the bar is low and your competition has ignored it.

CLIENT RESULT
"We were ranking on page two for pretty much everything. They rebuilt our mold remediation pages and we started showing up in three of the four counties we cover. Took about six weeks. The phone rings for mold jobs now, not just waterproofing referrals."

THE WORK

Five deliverables. Every engagement.

Every on-page engagement covers all five of the following. These are the components that move rankings for mold remediation and waterproofing contractors.

web

Service Page Builds

Every service you offer gets its own page: mold inspection, mold remediation, crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing, vapor barrier installation. Each is built to rank on its own, not buried as a line in a bulleted list under /services/. Most contractors we work with have 3 to 5 services across 2 to 3 metros, which means 6 to 15 pages that don't exist yet.

location_on

Location Pages

If you cover multiple cities or counties, each one gets its own page. The structure is consistent, but the content is written for that market rather than just swapping the city name into a template.

title

Title Tags and Meta Descriptions

We review every title tag and meta description against your target keywords. Anything generic gets rewritten with the right keyword in the right position. The copy has to read clean, not stuffed.

Content Depth Upgrades

Thin pages don't rank. We find your weakest pages and build them out to the depth the topic actually requires. A thin page is typically under 400 words with no location reference. Most contractor sites have 8 to 12 of them.

Internal Link Structure

We map and build the internal links between your pages so authority flows toward the ones that need it. Your mold remediation page should be linking to your mold inspection page. Most contractor sites have none of this in place.

Territories are limited to one contractor per market. It takes 30 seconds to check if yours is open, and we'll tell you straight whether it's available.

THE FOUNDATION

On-page SEO is the foundation everything else builds on

Your Google Business Profile, your citations, your map pack rankings: they all point back to your website. A weak page doesn't hold a ranking. Technical SEO doesn't fix thin content. A fast, crawlable site with nothing on the pages still won't rank.

On-page is where the information lives: what you do, where you do it, why you. Everything else is built on top of that. If the page is thin, nothing else moves.

  1. You tell us your service area.
  2. We check availability and review your current site.
  3. We send you a short report on what we'd fix first. No obligation.

One market. One contractor.

One client per metro. If your area is open, we'll look at your site and tell you where the gaps are. No charge for that conversation.

On-page SEO is included in every Vapor SEO retainer.
